Hayden Mullins, the head coach of Fulham’s Under-21 side, has been awarded the inaugural Premier League 2 (PL2) Manager of the Season accolade. The former West Ham United midfielder received the honor after being nominated by his peers and undergoing evaluation by a panel of experts.

Under Mullins’ guidance, the young Fulham side set an impressive seven-month unbeaten run in the PL2 this season, stretching to 13 matches before being ended by Crystal Palace in February. Despite that setback, the Whites currently sit fourth in the 29-team division.

During his three-year tenure at the club, Mullins has steered Fulham to third, second, and fourth-place finishes in the PL2. Notably, he led the Under-21s to victory in the Premier League Cup in 2024 and guided them to the semifinals of the Premier League International Cup the following year.

Accepting the award at the Premier League Youth Development Conference at Wembley Stadium, Mullins told Fulham’s official website: “It’s a massive honor to be recognized by your peers—people who work in the same field. It’s not just about me; the entire multidisciplinary team (MDT) has contributed. It feels like we’re doing something right here, and we’re on the right path. This award reflects the effort the team has put in this year.”
