Suryakumar Yadav and his wife, Devisha Shetty, have welcomed a baby girl, bringing joy to the Indian T20I captain and his family.
The couple, who tied the knot in July 2016, have been flooded with congratulations from the cricketing world. Sharing the news on social media, Yadav wrote, “With giggles, bows, and dreams to unfold, we welcome our baby girl.” The Mumbai Indians franchise also extended their best wishes to the new parents.

Yadav’s paternity leave has cast uncertainty over his participation in Mumbai Indians’ upcoming IPL match. He reportedly did not travel with the team to Raipur earlier this week due to family commitments surrounding the birth.

The franchise has not yet confirmed his availability for the crucial clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 10. In the previous match against Lucknow Super Giants, Yadav captained the side as regular skipper Hardik Pandya was sidelined with a back spasm. With Pandya still recovering and Yadav on leave, MI may need yet another stand-in captain for the high-stakes fixture.
